Officer Martin Douglas has been instrumental in introducing Krump within numerous schools and communities in Toronto. Krump, which started in L.A., is a new and energetic dance style used to engage youth and allow them to express themselves in an environment of positivity. Black History Month Kick Off

Peter Karl Youngren was an honoured guest at the 16th Annual Black History Month Kick Off at police headquarters on Thursday, January 28th. The theme this year was “The Recollection of How, When and Where it all Happened”

Numerous dignitaries including The Hon Jean Augustine, M.P.P. Margaret Best, Barbara Hall and others joined Toronto Police Services Board Chair Alok Mukherjee and Deputy Chief Peter Sloly at this important and symbolic event. Peter Karl and the Harlem Globetrotters team up to combat bullying

Recently Peter Karl teamed up with the world famous Harlem Globetrotters as well as hundreds of elementary school kids at a Forest Manor Public School assembly. The students watched Herbert "Moo Moo" Evans show off his incredible basketball moves while at the same time promoting an anti-bullying message. The students sat in awe hanging on his every word.

Peter Karl in discussions with the Jamaican Consulate General

Recently Peter Karl Youngren met with the newly appointed Jamaican Consulate General, Mr. Seth George Ramocan. Mr. Ramocan and his wife were recently given the commission and they have a determined and purposeful agenda for their three year term. Peter discussed a variety of issues pertaining to the Canadian-Jamaican community in Toronto including immigration, youth issues and policing. Peter Karl looks forward to working with the Jamaican Consulate on a number of new initiatives during the upcoming year.
